Sitting at Moynihan Train Hall (née Penn Station) waiting to board a train to upstate New York. It’s a perilous week for me - more about that as events unfold - if not anywhere near as perilous as for the 132 remaining hostages taken by Hamas still being held in Gaza. I am wearing the BRING THEM HOME NOW! sweatshirt I was given when reporting on the Hostages and Missing Families Forum for Reason back in January (“Dispatch from Israel: Inside the Hope Machine”). This post, as with all posts about the hostages, are not paywalled. Consider becoming a paid subscriber here or at Make More Pie so I can keep reporting.
Last week, the great Mike Pesca and I were kindly invited to speak at Brotherhood Synagogue in Manhattan. While you cannot tell from the video, there were about 100 people attending, to hear about Mike’s reporting from Israel and my own. Hit us up if you want us to speak to your crew!
Afterwards, we walked to a nearby bistro and did what we are lucky enough to be able to be at liberty to do, eat and drink and talk with people we love. See if you can spot a few of your fave podcasters xx
I haven't listened yet, but I most certainly will.
I would like to recommend the Call Me Back podcast that has Haviv Rettig Gur ( a journalist for the Times Of Israel) on. He is the best analyst I have heard about the Gaza War and the situation in Israel in general.
The last episode that dropped this morning was outstanding, as are you Nancy

Nancy and Mike; very well done. Thank you for making this available to we who don't live in NYC
