Your narrator shares a story about booze and recklessness, intimacy and cringe, and the soft pleasures of being clear-eyed when you used to be long gone
Most articles on Jezebel are absolute tripe (as with most of the rest of the Gawker empire), but they had an interesting article a couple days ago where Sarah was interviewed and quoted extensively. Definitely worth a read.
A looooooooooooooong time ago, when I was using both alcohol and sex, I found that alcohol made sex impossible, not better.
Alcohol helped with my job, making it easier for an introvert to teach. Alcohol ruined everything else. After I gave up alcohol I had to give up teaching and redesign a sober introvert life. Much better this way.
Wish it was longer. 😀 The fact is, the more courageous Sarah is the better she is. Fascinating piece!

Agree - the Jezebel article is worth a read, as is this one. Thanks.
Oh and yes Sarah, your article was good and worth reading. Thank you.
Oh, wow! I'd sort of given up on Jezebel. Cool!

Thank you. I was never a drinker and this gives me more insight into what can happen.
