Perfect :-)! I am driving to Connecticut (from just outside Boston) to see my daughter. Nothing makes the miles go by faster than a good podcast :-). I heard about this podcast listening to the Fifth Column episode with Sarah and was familiar with you from there as well. I love hearing conversation that makes you think without telling you what to think :-)
That Gawker article is annoying as hell. Connolly is so full of herself. The one thing she said I DID agree with: "Good personal writing can create this strong sense of kinship with a stranger..." And, Sarah, that's what I felt when I read your Atlantic article. I didn't feel pity or hear self-pity. I heard a richly articulate voice that I'd forgotten about (I read "Blackout" years ago)...And I'm so glad I get to continue to hear you and Nancy here on this podcast.
Thank you for the day 1 sign-up!
Yay!!! Great podcast!
I could listen to the two of you talk all day! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Thank you Don! One more dropping tomorrow x
